For those unfamiliar, the ATF recently attempted to reclassify pistols with attached braces as short-barreled rifles, placing them under strict regulation through the National Firearms Act.
Had this rule gone into effect, it would have criminalized thousands of law-abiding Americans overnight simply for owning a common firearm accessory. Fortunately, several federal courts blocked the ATF’s rule, citing violations of the Administrative Procedure Act and an overreach of authority.
Why I’m Running: Rusty for Riverton City Council
For nearly three decades, I’ve lived, worked, and raised my family right here in our humble town of Riverton. I had never planned to run for public office; But like many of you, I’ve watched with growing concern as our city, state, and country shift in a direction that doesn’t reflect the values we have always held dear. What used to be a quiet, conservative, tight-knit community is now under pressure from forces that have no interest in preserving what makes Riverton great.
