Remembering Charlie Kirk

On September 10, 2025, Charlie Kirk was taken from us in a violent and senseless act while doing what he believed, standing strong for truth, faith, and freedom on a America’s college campuses. For conservatives across the country, and especially here in Utah, his death is cannot only be a tragedy, it needs to be a wake-up call.
Charlie Kirk’s life was devoted to giving young Americans the courage to build strong values, and the resolve to defend them in today’s hostile political environment. That very courage made him a threat to the far left. His death was not only an attack on him, but on free speech, on faith, and on every American determined to protect our nation from this rising evil.
For families in Utah, this moment feels deeply personal. We cherish, and often take for granted, our freedom, our faith, and our close-knit communities. Yet Charlie’s assassination shows that even here, in our solitary mountain home, our beliefs are under attack.
In Riverton, where families raise children with a firm moral foundation, the message this tragedy sends us is clear: peace and silence can no longer be an option. We must stand and defend our way of life, just as Charlie did for us. The future of our children, and the survival of our values, depends on our willingness to fight back.
Charlie Kirk’s assassination is a painful reminder of the cost for standing against pure depravity. Here in Riverton we will not shrink back, we will not compromise on what is objectively good, and we will not let his sacrifice be in vain.
If America is to survive, it must once again become a nation under God, not only in words, but in hearts, in homes, and most importantly within our governing bodies.
Charlie showed us the way. Now it is our turn to carry his torch forward.
